What To Do After Joining A Direct Sales Company: 5 Things To Consider

5 Things You Should Do After Joining a Direct Sales Company

Are you getting ready to invest and start your direct sales journey? Maybe you have already jumped in and committed to rocking your business from home. Let me be the first to say, "YAY!!!" I am excited for you! Like you, I signed up to be an Origami Owl Independent Designer and I sat back and thought, "okay, what's next?" You're in luck because I am sharing with you the 5 things I did joining Origami Owl. Read on to find out what to do next!

Back Office Bootcamp

Most direct sales companies have a back office or consultant website that you will have access to. Your unique login will get you access to a ton of great information and materials about your direct sales business! Take the time to familiarize yourself with the layout, marketing materials, and compensation plans.

For Origami Owl Independent Designers, the dashboard is your way to set up a jewelry bar, purchase jewelry at a discount, and share some fabulous marketing materials and videos.

Connect On Facebook

Facebook is by far one of the best ways to connect with your customers, friends, and family online. To stay within the rules of Facebook, you must set up a Facebook Business Page for your direct sales venture. Facebook prohibits any business posts and selling of products from a personal timeline.

Once you have your Facebook Business Page set up and connected to your personal profile, use it to share information about your direct sales journey, the reasons why you joined your company, and any timely promotions and specials

Party Time

Your start up kit is on its way and soon you will be stalking the tracking information of that box! Use this time to begin planning your own in-home or online launch party and let the fun begin!

Wondering how to have a successful launch party? Check out these ideas on how to set yourself up for success. Have a party that has fantastic sales and hostesses booked for parties of their own and you are off to a great start with your direct sales business.

Let's Chat

Right after you join your direct sales company, you may feel SO overwhelmed. You have emails being sent to you, friend requests on Facebook, requests to join tons of new Facebook groups, and more. Now is the time to reach out to your mentors and fellow consultants when you have questions about how to set up an online party, how to redeem hostess rewards and other technical things.

Evaluate how you want to work your direct sales business. Not everyone is in direct sales to become the number one sponsor or number one salesperson. It is perfectly fine to get in your own groove and work your business as much and as little as you want.

Stock Up On Supplies

Whether you have inventory in your home to sell or your customers can go online to purchase your product, there are a few key things that most direct sellers need when they sign up to start a direct sales business. These essential supplies will help you to mail fabulous cards and packages to your customers and keep track of all of your upcoming parties and events.

If you still fill a little overwhelmed at where to start now that you have joined your direct sales company, I am always around to chat and answer any questions you have. For Origami Owl Independent Designers, this Origami Owl FAQ post will be helpful for you as well.
